Inside St. Barts Hottest New Spas

Whether you pronounce it St. Barts, St. Barth, or simply $$$, there’s no denying that this little French territory anagrams serious R&R.

The island boasts as many spas as it does white sand beaches. In fact, Cheval Blanc St-Barth—the Caribbean’s only property with “palace distinction”—is celebrating its 10th anniversary by unveiling a new Cheval Blanc Spa by Guerlain.

If you’re not familiar with Guerlain, just know this: The Paris-based brand has been a pioneer in luxury cosmetics since 1828. Rumor has it that the late Queen Elizabeth II wore one of Guerlain’s perfumes on her wedding day .

In keeping with the French theme, the new bathroom was designed by Isabelle Stanislas, a Parisian architect whose resume includes the iconic redecoration of the City of Lights’ Élysée Palace. It features a sauna, outdoor relaxation pavilion and five treatment rooms, including the romantic Orchidée salon, a double treatment suite.

The idea is that a couple that cuddles together stays together. The spa also boasts a boudoir where guests can get a Brazilian blowout followed by a full makeup facial. Fun fact: Guerlain invented the first lipstick in a tube in 1870.

Between its signature experiences and customizable treatments, the spa’s menu is far from cookie-cutter.

Cheval Blanc even worked with Slav Marinov — who took top honors at the 2022 World Massage Championships — to create a 90-minute, $330 scrub that “optimizes body mechanics to deliver a moment of ultimate relaxation.”

Meanwhile, the 90-minute, $490 Black Orchid Ultimate Anti-Aging Treatment claims to harness the unique energy-saving properties of the rare orchid to turn back your skin’s biological clock. The menu also features a honey-based facial that uses warm herbal infusions to target wrinkles and non-invasive slimming sessions that include cryotherapy and heat to reduce stubborn cellulite.

Worried about the smell of rotting fat cells? don’t be A PR representative for Cheval Blanc tells The Post that the new bathroom will smell like Tropical Chic. Master Perfumer Thierry Wasser created the Guerlain fragrance, which combines tropical flowers with a light mountain breeze, exclusively for Cheval Blanc St-Barth. Spa guests can purchase a bottle at the on-site Guerlain boutique. Like the spa, it will be open to the public.

Of course, if you can afford to stay the night (December rates start at $8,500 per night), you might bump into a celebrity, or two. Jennifer Lopez was photographed in Cheval Blanc St-Barth late last year, and Jay-Z and Beyonce are said to be fans.

The property has 61 rooms, suites and villas and two restaurants including La Case by Executive Chef Jean Imbert. While 250 grams of Beluga Royal Caviar will set you back nearly $3,000, the poolside burger, at just $45, is a steal. Just make sure you enjoy yourself BEFORE your slimming session to really get your money’s worth.
